[Solved!] Working on animations

3 brand new models, never before seen in FGFS and I'm starting with basic animations like spinning props, prop discs, prop spinners/hubs, ailerons, landing gears and associated gear doors.

It's going pretty well (actually, I'm bleeding from the ears.... :pinch: ) but last night ended up with a landing gear that, when it is retracted, *disappears* from sight! :huh:

I see the struts and doors on the ground. I take off, the gear retracts, the doors close, and then all of the animated objects become invisible.

I haven't yet compared code/tags to the other 2 aircraft that work just fine but I thought I'd ask what makes this happen and save myself more head pounding this evening...thanks in advance! :)

Solved the "Gear disappears when retracted" issue and learned a lot in the pursuit of it. :)

Interested parties please send me a PM and I'll explain in detail how it was fixed and what code in the model.xml was involved. ;)

The P-51B Mustang III VooDoo is back on track. :woohoo:
