FlightNight April 29th - Whisky Weekend

This weekend a nice relaxing Jaunt around the coast of Scotland passing some fantastic scenery and snapping shots at some of the worlds very best Whisky distilleries along the way including Campbeltown, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Oban and leading us round the tip of Scotland to Highland park.

Wont be going too fast so a maximum cruise of 160kts please but as long as you can keep stable at that and around 300ft then bring whatever you like.

Will post a route and more information up as the week goes on.

Ok Guys we'll be starting off in heaven, that is beautiful Islay before a quick tour around the island and it's distilleries, routing for the night will be:

EGPI Islay > EGEO Oban > EGPR Barra > EGPO Stornoway > EGPA Kirkwall > EGPC Wick

The last one might be a bit of a push depending on how we get on. I was also planning on a stop at Barra, one of only 2 official Beach runways in the world, just for a bit of fun although you can see from the screenie it's not quite as tough in FG as it might be:





Carrying on from there we'll see some great scenery and possibly some interesting weather. Time to be set to Noon as there's no point if we can't see it all.

If anyone is bringing an aircraft outside of the FG Hangar please can they post a link to it below at least 3 hours before the event to avoid Blue Gliders!
If we can make a tad more than 150kts it might be beneficial but we shan't be overly rushing.
