Scenery _runway in wrong position

How can a runway be moved to align with corrected airport data?
My old gliding club Rufforth EGYJ near York I found that the runway was physically displaced about 1/2 km to the east so when starting on either end of the runway in FG you were actually sat in a field (as seen on Phi), I look up the correct data for the runway thresholds and edited the EGYJ.threshold.xml and also added the X-Plane apt,dat file for this airfield into
Custom Scenery/MavData/apt/EGYJ.dat
so now have accurate runway details but no tarmac (that still where it was originally) can the scenery object be easily re-positioned ?

To actually move the physical runway the airport would need to be re rendered.

I got X-Plane and FSX scenery addons for this location, is it possible to convert to FG on a windows PC?
I setup a Linux pc to try follow the instructions on FG/Wiki/Forum but can't get it to find addons or setup a simple application to run like you do on windows so running scripts I would not like to try.

Have a look at
wherever_it_is_for_you/TerraSync/Airports/E/G/Y/EGYJ.threshold.xml

You will see that it has the same values as in⁨
data⁩ ▸ ⁨Airports ▸ ⁨ apt.dat.gz
which is an old (2013) copy of X-Plane's apt.dat
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1'?>
<PropertyList>
  <runway>
    <threshold>
      <lon>-1.1707</lon>
      <lat>53.95257219</lat>
      <rwy>18</rwy>
      <hdg-deg>180.00</hdg-deg>
      <displ-m>0.0</displ-m>
      <stopw-m>0.0</stopw-m>
    </threshold>
    <threshold>
      <lon>-1.1707</lon>
      <lat>53.94177581</lat>
      <rwy>36</rwy>
      <hdg-deg>0.00</hdg-deg>
      <displ-m>0.0</displ-m>
      <stopw-m>0.0</stopw-m>
    </threshold>
  </runway>
</PropertyList>

If you make a new version of EGYJ.threshold.xml and put it into
wherever_your_custom_scenery_is/Airports/E/G/Y/

you should be able to override TerraSync. For example

Mac 10.14.1 Mojave, FG 2018.3.5
