For God's sake....does *EvErThInG* have to involve Nasal?
Is there no simple animation to animate a canopy? Help...I'm going crazy trying to reverse engineer a canopy animation and it simply does not have to involve a bunch a Nasal. Does it?
I think what nasal needs to be used for is the slow varying of the door property value from open (1) to closed (0) - although this could be done with a property rule as well.
The nasal can be pretty small & just attached to the key press as a script section directly rather than calling a defined nasal function
something like following (the website won't let me embed it)
Took all the "stuff" out of the Grob including the keyboard bindings and doors.nas. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get the right axis settings to fold the canopy's open forward on the Bf-108.
I hate coding and building airplanes but love them when they are done. I'm just a *very* reluctant Developer who wants specific things so I have to learn to do it mice elf.
That is sooo goddam cool!
I wish my brain could cope with this coding stuff, I really want to sort out the speed brake operation on Algy's EF2000.
It's really simple to do but I can't find it any where....

Let's talk about then The speed brake is part of the FCS so there are a few more stages, but it should not be difficult to follow once you know where to look.
