flightnight for this week is going to be held at the usual time, 8pm UK Time on Saturday 8th February. Starting point will be EGET with half way point at 9pm being EGPM.
Cruising speed for the first half is going to be 150kts so feel free to bring anything Fixed Wing from the FGUK Hangar that can cruise happily at that. I say Fixed wing as there'll be some Touch and Go fun on the way just to keep everyone on their toes.
After half time We'll be going a bit faster so a switch to either a Harrier, Tornado or Jaguar would be appropriate.
We'll be heading back from Shetland to the mainland and after a coastal jaunt we'll end up at EGQS, RAF Lossiemouth, as our final destination.
Storm Ciara is set to be battering the UK at the time of the flight and that's why, for shoots and giggles, we're going to be flying this with live weather.
Conditions at our starting airport are currently 29kts of wind, with gusts of 35 straight down the runway. By tonight these numbers could easily be 1.5x or more.
Total carnage is likely to ensue but that's all part of the fun.
See you at 8pm!
