Summer in the Northern Hemisphere is still some weeks away, so this Saturday, FGUK is heading down south of the Line to frolick in the equatorial waters off Ascension Island, where it's currently in the high 20s centigrade. As usual, there'll be an MP carrier for the choppers and fast jets, plus a couple of activities to test your skills against other participants.
Anything from our hangar is welcome; anything else, please provide a link in good time. Even if your choice of aircraft is non-FGUK but was on last weeks list, please still provide a link in this thread. And of course, you can switch steeds at any time.
RAF Ascension Island (Wideawake Field) is ICAO FHAW. Please assemble on the ramp at 2000 BST (that's 1900 Zulu/GMT/UTC).
Make sure the AI scenario is downloaded and placed in your FG AI folder.
Either start FlightGear with the scenario "FGUK Ascension Island" or select it once in game from AI > Traffic and Scenario Settings
Once you're in the sim, take a look at the MP Carrier (callsign FGUK-CG) to make sure the model has loaded, then open Multiplayer > MPCarrier Selection and select FGUK-CG.
You'll also need to be running the built-in FlightGear USS Nimitz scenario ( "Carrier CVN-68 - USS Nimitz (KSFO)" ) but that should happen automatically. Make sure by checking AI > Traffic and Scenario Settings.

There will be a scenario to download for this flight, link should be up shortly - I'll also provide a link to the MP carrier package if you don't have it. As our website hosts have been experiencing technical issues, I'll also be making it available on our Facebook page and via a bit.ly link just in case the site goes down again.
First post will be updated with the links this afternoon.

Don't think I have nor can find the FGUK USS Nimitz scenario.

It's probably because I'm not there with my big-ass ship yet. It'll be steaming off Ascension from about 1830Z/UTC which is 1930 London time (BST). If you can, connect to MP then (once you can see it on the MP map -
for a close-up) to test - we can troubleshoot if need be.
I sually view the carrier in model view, then wait till it pops up as an available carrier, select it, then wait in model view till its actual model loads, then after that i dont have any problems with it.
