Flightnight Sep 18th - The Hanseatic Tour

15 Sep 2021 18:20 - 16 Sep 2021 12:12 #51121 by geed
Ladies and Gentlemen - Welcome to our little tour around Northern Germany - the heart of the old Hanseatic League.

We will hop in into our oldest aircraft models and go at crazy speeds of 80 to 90 mph just to admire the beautiful northern plains of Germany.

Allowed Aircraft are available here: fguk.me/hangar/military-piston/download/...davinci-wwi-fighters

Uncle VooDoo provided some of those magnificient machines to us and they are just to precious to rot in our hangars - so we will use those.

Its more or less a little tour around the house for me and hopefully a nice time with the other crazyheads. We will take off at Peenemuende that you might know from the V1 and V2 rockets, designed by the Germans and being built there as well for quite some time. (actually fired at their targets from there as well, unfortunately ..)

After gathering in the air we will make our way towards Ruegen, the island in the Baltic Sea that was the hideout of one the Hanseatic Leagues mostly feared pirates, Klaus Störtebeker.
Nice scenery is to be expected - we will fly at nice weather of course - Border of a high pressure region - just to be able to go criss cross between the clouds above the island.

We will then proceed towards Barth (EDBH), a small airfield - still active - south west of the island. Here we will fill up our beer canisters and hop back into our wooden cokpits just to fly further south west.

Just east of Rostock, another very important town of the Hanseatic League, we will turn south towards Laage (ETNL), a long time military airfield that is used in mixed mode by the Airforce and civil companies. The Germans fly two of their three working EF2000's there ;)

We will then proceed further towards the beautiful Schwerin area with all its small lakes and shallow hills and head over to our final destination, Parchim, another old airfield that is now closed but has been used as a test and practice airfield for German airline pilots. Throughout the war Parchim was used for bombers as well as Messerschmitts ME262 and ME163 at the end of the war.

Parchim (EDOP) will be our final destination that evening and we should have enough time flying into the pattern in an orderly fashion just to land and gather at the photo point. ;)

Thanks for that.
I have a problem with FG, if I select Load route, the window (Export) is not visable now and I have too alt tab to get to the window and now it's stopped "Load" the selected route.
I try compiling the PS from your route.

Roger that! Thanks for the textures!

Yeah I had the same but in 2020.4 it is gone for me now. I think I got a slightly more recent build than you then.
